Welcome to RECODE’s beta Impact Reporting platform — an effort to collect (near) real-time data on the impact of RECODE’s grantees. On this site, you will be able to easily update activities, from a new course to a new impact fund, and in so-doing, co-narrate and co-create the story of RECODE.

This framework hones in on five priority areas across the ecosystem:

Resource allocation, Community impact, Culture shift, Student experience and Social venture support.

Culture Shift

Understanding the landscape of post-secondary courses focused on Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation across Canada

Visit Culture Shift

Resource Allocation

Tracking the amount of capital or in-kind resources directed towards Social Entrepreneurship, Social Innovation, and/or Social Finance.

Visit Resource Allocation

Current focus

The RECODE Evaluation Working Group decided to begin the evaluation by focusing on Resource allocation and Culture shift. It was felt that these categories had the broadest relevance and importance, and that we could also generate baseline data.

What’s coming up?

For the other three priority themes—Community impact, Student experience and Social venture support—a different set of strategies will be employed (such as case studies, representative polling, etc). A similar process of design, testing and implementation will occur for these themes.

Our Goal

We hope to contribute to the growing field of research related to evaluating social entrepreneurship and social innovation, with this framework serving as one of our accountability mechanisms.

Community Impact

Understanding how Social Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation are impacting RECODE and Canadian communities

Social Venture

Developing a standard approach for tracking growth of Social Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation activity

Student Experience

Understanding student expectation and activity around Social Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation engagement
